Video Professor has come to Ghana. The US based company, Video Professor Inc., has donated over $1000(USD) in ICT educational software to the Suame Magazine Industrial Development Organization (SMIDO).
Based in Lakewood, Colorado, Video Professor has been a leader in self-paced computer learning software tutorials for over 21 years. The core aim of the company is to provide user friendly learning solutions for the most commonly used computer software. John W. Scherer, CEO and Founder of Video Professor, Inc, said that the company is “happy to participate with donations for programs involving computer literacy and education” and to “support the worthy efforts” of SMIDO.
SMIDO is the official development unit of Suame Magazine, the largest informal artisanal industrial cluster in all of Ghana and West Africa. SMIDO offers customized ICT training to the Magazine community through its Suame Magazine Automatics Technical Institute (SMATI) initiative, which aims to provide artisans with ICT skills that they can put to use in their personal and professional lives.
