Video Professor becomes “Auto” Professor.

LAKEWOOD, Co. - For immediate release
Millions of people know John W. Scherer as the Video Professor through his commercials and infomercials for his popular line of computer tutorials. Now in the company's 22nd year, John understands business and the economy. He has over 10 million customers. Scherer also knows that sales are the key to the success of any business.

John, like the rest of the nation, is concerned about the economic crisis facing the domestic auto industry.

It's what motivated him to come up with the idea of a $10,000 tax incentive for all buyers of American cars.

“We need to get the economic blood flowing,” said Scherer. “Everyone is getting bailouts except for consumers. This plan will help Detroit solve its biggest problem, lack of customers.”

“This will get people into showrooms. They’ll buy cars. That creates jobs. The economy is stimulated and creates more jobs. Not once has the government asked Detroit what it can do to help them sell more cars. My plan does just that.”

Scherer’s idea is catching on. He was keynote speaker at the Colorado Auto Summit, joining John Medved, President and CEO of Medved Colorado, one of the state’s most respected auto dealers. Medved enthusiastically endorsed John’s idea. Along with previous Op-Eds on his plan published in the Detroit Free Press, CNN Money and the Denver Business Journal, John was also a live guest on the Colorado Morning News on 850KOA. Television stations in Denver, Detroit and Phoenix also covered his appearance at the Auto Summit.

“Washington isn’t listening,” said Scherer. “Warranty guarantees and tiny incentives of a few hundred dollars won’t get customers excited about buying a new car. As for the bailouts, they are accomplishing nothing. It’s time to give a break to the folks paying the bills, the taxpayers themselves.”

John Scherer is taking his message to anyone who will listen, and they are.

“This isn’t rocket science,” he said. “It’s common sense.”
