The United States Postal Service (USPS) recently honored Video Professor, Inc. of Denver, CO and its CEO/Founder John W. Scherer by presenting them with its national Corporate Business Achievement Award. The highly successful Colorado-based national corporation was recognized for its outstanding partnership with the Postal Service in using the mail to deliver value and to help strengthen and grow its business.
The award was presented to CEO Scherer at the National Postal Forum held in Washington DC from May 17-20, 2009. The event is the mailing industry’s premier national trade show. More than 5,000 industry professionals attended the four-day conference that featured mailing workshops and special sessions, symposiums and informational programs on the latest technologies and advances in the mailing industry. Postmaster General John Potter also spoke to the thousands of mailers attending the event.
Presenting the award to CEO Scherer were USPS Chief Operating Officer Pat Donahoe and Bob Bernstock, President of Mailing and Shipping Services for the U.S. Postal Service.
“We are pleased to honor John and Video Professor for their innovation, creativity and leadership,” said Bernstock. “By using Priority Mail Flat-Rate Boxes and other mailing products and programs, Video Professor produced winning business results that helped increase their customer base and that saved significantly on their shipping costs.”

Other award winners included AARP, Allstate Corporation, American Express, Blockbuster Inc., Charles Schwab & Co., Comcast Cable, Footlocker, Medco, U.S. Bancorp and UnitedHealth Group.
