Video Professor Employees put the “Give” in giving year-round!
LAKEWOOD, Co. - For immediate release
Video Professor, and its employees believe in giving back to the community. Their employee club “Seasons” was very busy in 2008 making sure folks less fortunate were not forgotten in these uncertain economic times.
“Giving, especially during this time of year, is a tradition for us,” says Video Professor President and COO Bettye Harrison, herself an active Seasons Club member. “Times are tight for everyone and we were a little uncertain as to how much we could help out. As usual, our employees exceeded expectations.”
Video Professor employees supported numerous groups here at home and around the world. Last year’s Seasons Club members donated to the following:
The Salvation Army: Angel Tree Program-100 presents for children and seniors.
Jefferson County Action Center-300 pounds of food in time for Thanksgiving.
Coats for Colorado-53 Jackets and coats.
US Army FOB Falcon, Iraq-Monthly shipments of boxes of snacks, toiletries and other requested items to an army unit serving in Iraq.
“I’m always amazed, but never surprised, by the generosity of our employees,” says John W. Scherer, CEO and founder of Video Professor, Inc. “The same dedication they put into designing and marketing our Video Professor lessons along with great customer service is evident in their willingness to give back to community.”
Seasons Club members also believe in having fun. One especially fun project was its annual Super Bowl Chili cook-off on January 31, 2009.
“The competition was fierce,” says Scherer. “The chili was awesome (the smoke was still coming out of his ears!).”
